FACES OF CHIN, “Donny” ... Ch. Blue Willow Cherbo’s Lil Bit RocknRoll, Japanese Chin
Donny is the 4th in the series "Faces of Chin"
--from original 16” x 16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Donny’s owners, Cherie Boice, Ned Stedman, and Martin Dulin, think Donny is a perfect example of the beautiful tricolor, one of the four accepted color combinations in the AKC standard for Japanese Chin. His personality makes him a great ambassador for the breed. A show dog, all the way, to see Donny perform is better than “Dancing With the Stars.” Man, woman, or child, Donny always greets everyone with a dance of vigor and happiness. Once you meet him, he is engraved upon your heart forever.
The Artist: Martha Hooks, a Southerner by birth and choice, has always had dogs in her life. Her memories of going to field trials with her dad as well as time spent in conformation rings with her Long Coat Chihuahuas helped expand her knowledge of canine anatomy, breed traits and personalities. She paints full time and commissions are accepted, time permitting. Of course, her favorite subjects wear fur coats year around.
