FACES OF CHIN, “Izzy” ... Japanese Chin
Izzy is the 17th in the series "Faces of Chin"
--from original 16” x 16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Izzy was adopted from Luv-A-Chin Rescue in September 2009, along with her now brother, Jack. She is friendly and sweet, and does not have a mean bone in her body. She loves to cuddle and will just melt into you when you hold her. She has a silly side, too. Every morning she “suffers” from temporary insanity by beating up a chair in the living room! She then returns to normal by seeking out a spot of sun to lie in, either on the floor or furniture. She is the queen bee of our household, gently ruling over Jack and Kiki. We love her adorable freckle face! She is absolutely the best dog we have ever had! (Shhhhh, don’t tell Jack and Kiki!)
The Artist: Martha Hooks, a Southerner by birth and choice, has always had dogs in her life. Her memories of going to field trials with her dad as well as time spent in conformation rings with her Long Coat Chihuahuas helped expand her knowledge of canine anatomy, breed traits and personalities. She paints full time and commissions are accepted, time permitting. Of course, her favorite subjects wear fur coats year around.
