FACES OF CHIN, “Kiki” ... Japanese Chin
Kiki is the 14th in the series "Faces of Chin"
--from original 16” x 16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
After the tragic loss of their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Rudy, the Melroy family decided to adopt from rescue. They found LuvAChin on the web and ended up adopting two Japanese Chin, Izzy and Jack. Because Chin are so loving of each other, they decided to add another to their family. That was the lucky day they found Kiki, a beautiful, sweet, shy little tricolor Japanese Chin, who fit right into the Melroy Pack!
Kiki is a very anxious little girl, wary of strange dogs, humans, and situations. But, when she is happy, she is absolutely joyous! She has a truly special bond with Jack, who is deaf. She is his ears and he is her muscle!
The Melroy family loves their little tricolor girl!
The Artist: Martha Hooks, a Southerner by birth and choice, has always had dogs in her life. Her memories of going to field trials with her dad as well as time spent in conformation rings with her Long Coat Chihuahuas helped expand her knowledge of canine anatomy, breed traits and personalities. She paints full time and commissions are accepted, time permitting. Of course, her favorite subjects wear fur coats year around.
