FACES OF CHIN, “Lacey” ... Japanese Chin
Lacey is the 19th in the series "Faces of Chin"
--from original 16” x 16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Sire: Randalets Grin And Bear It, JCCA Top Stud Dog 2014
Dam: Randalets Whatdaya Want from Me
Bred and owned by William and Margaret Schnarrenberger, Lacey was the product of a sable to sable breeding which gave her the deep rich color everyone hopes for in a sable. Lacey’s delightful disposition, whether at play or in the show ring, could not help but make you smile. Her color, fun loving nature and captivating expression have caught the attention of many over the years and we give special thanks to Lee Grogan for catching all of these qualities so wonderfully in his photograph which was referenced by the artist.
The Artist: Martha Hooks, a Southerner by birth and choice, has always had dogs in her life. Her memories of going to field trials with her dad as well as time spent in conformation rings with her Long Coat Chihuahuas helped expand her knowledge of canine anatomy, breed traits and personalities. She paints full time and commissions are accepted, time permitting. Of course, her favorite subjects wear fur coats year around.
