FACES OF CHIN, “Omar” ... Japanese Chin
Omar is the 15th in the series "Faces of Chin"
--from original 16” x 16” Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas
“Hi! It's me again, OmarLittle! Before I became a brave lion impersonator (as depicted in the painting, “OmarLittle Thinks Big”), I started out just a little guy with lots to say. I just wanted to tell everyone who would listen about my awesomeness! See, in this new painting, I was shouting out, ‘I am OmarLittle, hear me roar!’
“Everybody knows my famous house mate, the outrageous Clint! To further illustrate my awesomeness, my photos are frequently confused with his. Both of us dressed in dapper white fur coats with lemon trim. At home, no one got us mixed up because my coat was a few sizes larger than his! When we were both just pups, Clint tried to get me to mark a few of the pillows in the house so all the other dogs would know they were mine. He claimed it was the only way to keep up with your very own pillows.
“If you can still hear me (I’m using my nice polite voice), I just want to ask everyone to buy my note cards and prints to help JCCARE take care of as many little Chin as possible! Clint! wants you to buy his cards too! Thanks!”
The Artist: Martha Hooks, a Southerner by birth and choice, has always had dogs in her life. Her memories of going to field trials with her dad as well as time spent in conformation rings with her Long Coat Chihuahuas helped expand her knowledge of canine anatomy, breed traits and personalities. She paints full time and commissions are accepted, time permitting. Of course, her favorite subjects wear fur coats year around.
